RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival 2023
This year, the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival celebrated its 30th anniversary, and it was truly a breathtaking floral exhibition on a global scale. With an abundance of innovative show gardens, flower tents, and pavilions, as well as a wide range of captivating demonstrations, the festival showcased the latest gardening trends.
One of the most eye-catching themes this year was the focus on the changing climate and the growing interest in growing vegetables and fruits at home. Many garden designers shared their creative ways to welcome wildlife into the garden. They cleverly integrated pruned materials, consciously created spaces in corners and gaps, and planted beautiful (wild) flowers that attracted a variety of insects.
An outstanding plant that multiple garden designers used to add a graceful touch to the gardens was the Sanguisorba. This plant added an elegant and refined appearance to the various designs. Additionally, the Allium sphaerocephalon and Achillea were widely admired, contributing beautiful colours to the floral splendour.
All in all, the festival offered an inspiring experience for both seasoned gardeners and budding plant enthusiasts. The celebration of flora and fauna at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival demonstrated that we could create a harmonious interplay with care for our gardens and nature. Are you curious now?
